Nel mercato nordamericano è stato introdotto un nuovo modello di TV 65SM8100AUA. Questo modello ha ampliato la linea TV NanoCell Serie 8.
Basta notare che questo modello è più simile a una serie TV 7, solo con uno schermo NanoCell.
Qual è la differenza tra SM8100 e SM8600
Il modello SM8600 esiste in due versioni di SM8600PUA e SM8600AUA. L’unica differenza tra questi modelli è il supporto per gli altoparlanti wireless WiSA Ready. AUA non supporta questa funzione.
- SM8100 – è installato uno schermo con una profondità di colore di 8 bit, il modello SM8600 ha anche uno schermo con una profondità di colore di 8 bit ma c’è una retroilluminazione tremolante. Pertanto, viene rivendicata una pseudo profondità di colore a 10 bit della TV.
- Lo schermo dell’SM8100 supporta un frame rate massimo di 60 al secondo. Altri modelli della serie 8 supportano 120 fotogrammi al secondo. Ciò suggerisce che lo schermo è peggiore in SM8100 rispetto ad altri modelli di TV della serie 8.
- SM8100 è un normale processore a 4 core, non della serie alpha. Per questo motivo, non vengono applicati tutti i possibili miglioramenti dell’immagine software aggiuntivi. Ad esempio, non esiste supporto per il formato HDR Dolby Vision. Probabilmente la potenza del processore non è sufficiente per alcuni tipi di programmi.
